UV resistance

UV resistance refers to the ability of a material to withstand UV radiation. Plastics, sealants, and other materials change their chemical composition and appearance under direct sun exposure. Materials with a low UV resistance are effected through aging, loss of colour, loss of toughness, and cracks. In order to achieve sufficient UV resistance, many plastics are mixed with active carbon black.
