Polyol

A polyol is an organic compound which contains various hydroxyl groups (also known as OH-groups). The term polyol is generally used for four or more hydroxyl groups, whereby the terms polydiol or polytriol are used when containing two or three hydroxyl groups. Polyols can be produced either on the basis of mineral oils or on the basis of vegetable oils. Polyols are mainly used in the plastics industry. Polyols are used by RAMPF as A-components.
