Polycondensation reaction

A polycondensation reaction refers to the chemical process of forming condensation polymers. During this process, macromolecules are formed from two or more low-molecular substances (monomers) through splitting off by-products such as water. Monomers applied in the reaction must consist of two predominantly reactive functional groups.
