Happy Birthday, Rudi!

Grafenberg, Germany, 11/29/24.

The RAMPF Group is celebrating a very special milestone tomorrow, Saturday, November 30 – Company founder Rudolf Günter Rampf will turn 80. He has set standards both as a pioneer and innovator and with his social and community commitment.

Rudolf Rampf is born in 1944 in Kasten, Austria, and grows up in Bavaria. After completing training as a chemical technician and technical business manager, he founds RAMPF Kunststoffsysteme GmbH in Grafenberg in 1980 – a “one-man-woman business,” as he likes to call it.

Together with his wife Eva-Marion, whom he describes as the “soul of the company,” he expands the business into an internationally successful corporate group, which is being led by his sons, Michael and Matthias, in the second generation since 2012.

Sustainable Founding

The company's success story begins with the invention of the first-ever tooling board made of polyurethane. With this innovation, Rudolf Rampf revolutionizes model and mold making by replacing tropical hardwoods with the board, making production not only more efficient, but also more sustainable. His approach of thinking long-term and with environmental awareness is inherent to the RAMPF Group to this day.

The innovative drive of our father and his tireless will to create new and improve existing products and processes continue to shape my brother and me to this day. He is an inspiring role model for the way we lead the company,

says Michael Rampf.

Our father entrusted us with the responsibility of a company based on strong values and innovative products. This solid foundation enabled us to successfully manage the transition to the next generation,

adds Matthias Rampf.

Engaged citizen

Besides his entrepreneurial success, Rudolf Rampf is a man of commitment. In 2001, he founds the Rudolf Rampf Foundation, which supports young people in the fields of sports and music in Grafenberg. In addition, he is involved in global efforts for self-help, including projects such as building wells, equipping schools, and providing school meals in Angola.

He is also politically active, including as a long-time member of the Grafenberg municipal council and deputy mayor.

For his contributions as an entrepreneur and engaged citizen, Rudolf Rampf receives several awards, including the Federal Cross of Merit in 2017, the Economic Medal of the State of Baden-Württemberg in 2008, and the Citizen's Medal of Grafenberg in 2023.

The RAMPF Group says: Thank you, Rudi!

Although Rudolf Rampf has long passed the operational management of the RAMPF Group to his sons, he remains closely connected to the company to this day.

It is always a great joy when he visits us. His experiences and stories from his numerous travels around the world continue to inspire us time and time again,

says Jörg Hörz, Director of Production PGV at RAMPF Advanced Polymers, who worked alongside Rudolf Rampf for two decades.

On the occasion of his 80th birthday, the entire RAMPF Group team extends heartfelt congratulations to its founder:

Thank you, Rudi, for your passion, your dedication, and the values you have instilled in our company!
