The RAMPF Values are the foundation of our company. In so-called “Value Dialogues”, we regularly examine how these shape the interactions among ourselves and with customers and partners. This is an exciting – and indeed valuable! – process.
What is the purpose of our company?
In view of the profundity of this question and RAMPF’s age of 43 years, we must clarify that we are not in the midst of a midlife crisis.
Rather, this question has accompanied the company since its foundation in the early 1980s. Even back then, company founder Rudolf Rampf had very specific ideas about how employees should interact with each other as well as customers and partners.
Valuable – inside and outside
Corporate values play an important role for us as a family-run, medium-sized company, both internally and externally.
- Internally: Health management, work-life balance, training and development opportunities – our employees are close to our hearts. RAMPF grows together with them. We invest in our existing workforce and want them to work in our company for the long term; “hire and fire” is not the RAMPF way. We rely on employees who are motivated, eager to learn new things, and ready to face the future with courage and confidence.
- Externally: Our products must meet the highest requirements, i.e. those of our customers. But that is by no means everything. As our products and services are often tailor-made to meet the needs of our customers, we maintain very close, trusting, and sustainable relationships. For RAMPF, it is a self-commitment to act sustainably – both towards our customers and partners and in the development and manufacture of our products.
Timeless – and always up-to-date
Nothing is more enduring than the values RAMPF stands for. Nevertheless, even these have to move with the times. Consequently, the values originally formulated by Rudolf Rampf have been revised. In numerous workshops and lively discussions, participants from all Group companies worked on how the claims formulated above could be concisely described in three terms.
The result: RAMPF is

- Passionate.
- Future oriented.
Valuable values
The reviewed values were presented to employees by the experts of the RAMPF HR department in approximately 50 workshops with over 700 participants. In addition, posters on the individual values were designed and are now prominently placed in RAMPF plants around the globe.
However, the values are only "valuable" if they are lived on a daily basis. Therefore, following the introductory events, quarterly “Value Dialogues” are being held in each Group company and department. There, employees work out what fair, passionate, and future-oriented mean in terms of day-to-day work and dealings with colleagues, customers, and partners.

The workshops give us the opportunity to consciously reflect on our values. Certain behaviors or processes are often taken for granted, but in everyday work life you rarely get to deal with them in depth. What is going well, where do we have potential for improvement, where are we not living up to our standards? With these open discussions, out-of-the-box thinking is encouraged and the RAMPF values are constantly transferred to current circumstances.
