Newsletter

Nature and purpose of processing:
For registration to take effect, we need a valid e-mail address. In order to ensure the actual owner of a given e-mail address is registering, we use the double opt-in process. During this process, we log the newsletter request, the sending of a confirmation e-mail, and the receipt of the reply requested in this e-mail.

You indicate your name so that we can address you personally in the newsletter and identify you should you wish to exercise your rights as a data subject.

Your data will be used for the sole purpose of sending the newsletter.

Legal basis:
Based on your explicit consent (point (a) of Art. 6(1) GDPR), we will regularly send you our newsletter and/or comparable information by e-mail at the e-mail address you have provided.

You may revoke your consent to your personal data being stored, and to it being used to send the newsletter, at any time with future effect. There is a corresponding link in each newsletter. You can also unsubscribe at any time directly on this website or notify us of your revocation using the contact details provided at the end of this Privacy Policy.

Recipients:
Recipients of the data may be the affiliated companies in the RAMPF Group, whose details you can see in the “Imprint” section. Personal data is transferred within the RAMPF Group of companies for internal administrative purposes of the central customer support and order processing team.

This website uses rapidmail to send newsletters. The provider is rapidmail GmbH, Augustinerplatz 2, 79098 Freiburg i.Br., Germany. The rapidmail service can be used, among other things, to organize and analyze the sending of newsletters. The data you enter to obtain the newsletter will be stored on the servers of rapidmail in Germany.

If you do not wish to be subject to analysis by rapidmail, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a corresponding link in every newsletter message. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter directly on the website.

For analysis purposes, the e-mails sent using rapidmail include a tracking pixel that connects to rapidmail’s servers when the e-mail is opened. This makes it possible to establish whether a newsletter message has been opened.

With the help of rapidmail, we can also establish whether links in the newsletter message have been clicked and, if so, which ones. All links in the e-mail are tracking links that can count your clicks.

You will find further details about the analytical functions of rapidmail under the following link: https://de.rapidmail.wiki/kategorien/statistiken/

Conclusion of a processing contract
We have concluded a contract with rapidmail that obliges rapidmail to protect our customers’ data and not pass it on to third parties. You can view this contract here.

Storage duration:
In this connection, the data will only be processed for as long as the relevant consent exists. After that, it will be deleted.

Cookies

Nature and purpose of processing:
Like many other websites, we use cookies. These are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive. They provide us with automatically determined data such as information about the IP address, the browser used, the operating system, and your Internet connection.

Cookies cannot be used to start up programs or transfer viruses onto a computer. The information contained in the cookies helps us to make it easier for you to navigate and to correctly display our website.

Cookies that are required for implementing the electronic communication process, for supplying certain functions requested by you, or for optimizing the website (technically essential cookies) are stored based on point (f) of Art. 6 (1) GDPR, unless a different legal basis is stated. In contrast, we use optional cookies and technologies for marketing and analytical purposes only if you have given your consent, via our cookie banner, to the processing of your data in accordance with point (a) of Art. 6 (1) GDPR, to the transfer of your data to a third country in accordance with point (a) of Art. 49 (1) GDPR, or to the storage of information or access to information already on your device in accordance with Section 25 (1) of the German Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act (TDDDG).
If the use of cookies is absolutely essential, the storage of information or access to information already on your device will occur in accordance with section 25 (2) TDDDG.

You can of course display our website without cookies, too.

You can specify whether you consent to the setting of individual cookies in the consent management tool (cookie banner) at any time.

You can generally also deactivate the usage of cookies at any time by adjusting your browser settings accordingly.

Please note that certain functions of our website may not work if you disable cookies.

Use of Google Analytics

Nature and purpose of processing:
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter “Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer enabling an analysis of your use of the website. The information provided by the cookie about your use of this website is normally transferred to and stored on a Google server in the USA. Due to activation of the Anonymize IP option on these websites, however, Google will first remove the end of your IP address so it only locates you as within the member states of the European Union or in other states that are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google will use this information and combine it with other data on behalf of the operator of this website to analyze your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to measure the performance of advertisements requested by the website operator (and/or of Google Ads).

Legal basis:
The data is processed on the basis of Section 25 (1) TDDDG and user consent (point (a) of Art. 6(1) GDPR).

Recipients and third country transfer:
The recipient of the data is Google as the processor.

Google also processes your personal data in the USA and does so on the basis of the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. You will find further information about this under: https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks?hl=en

Storage duration:
The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for our recording purposes.

Revocation of consent:
You can set the consent banner and your browser software to prevent cookies from being stored. You can also stop Google from recording and processing the data generated by the cookie that relates to your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: Browser add-on for deactivating Google Analytics

Profiling:
The Google Analytics tracking tool can be used to evaluate the behavior of visitors to the website and analyze their interests. Google creates a pseudonymous user profile for this purpose.

You will find further information in Google’s Privacy Policy (GA4 https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/us/).

Use of Google Maps

Nature and purpose of processing:
We make use of Google Maps on this website. Google Maps is operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter “Google”). Our deployment of Google Maps enables us to display interactive maps directly on the website and make it easy for you to use the map function.

You will find further information about how Google processes data in the Google Privacy Policy, where you can also change your personal data privacy settings in the Safety Center.

Detailed instructions for managing your data in relation to Google products can be found here.

Legal basis:
The legal basis for incorporating Google Maps and the associated transfer of data to Google is your consent (point (a) of Art. 6(1) GDPR) as well as Section 25 (1) TDDDG.

Recipients:
If you visit the website, Google receives information that you have accessed the relevant subpage on our website. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account that you are logged into or there is no such user account. If you are logged into Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account.

You need to log out of Google before activating the button if you do not want your data to be assigned to your Google profile. Google stores your data as usage profiles, which it uses for the purposes of advertising, market research, and/or customizing its website to specific needs. An evaluation of this kind takes place in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide customized advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website.

Further information about how Google uses your data can be found in its Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en

Third country transfer:
Google also processes your personal data in the USA and does so on the basis of the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. You will find further information about this under: https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks?hl=en

Revocation of consent:
You can set the consent banner and your browser software to prevent cookies from being stored.

If you do not wish Google to collect, process, or use data generated as a result of your visit to our website, you can deactivate JavaScript in your browser settings.

Use of Google reCAPTCHA

Nature and purpose of processing:
We use Google reCAPTCHA, a service provided by Google Inc. In this connection, Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) is responsible for all Google services in Europe. With reCAPTCHA, we can establish whether you are really a person rather than a robot or some other kind of spam software.

reCAPTCHA analyses run completely in the background.

Examples of data processed by Google to our knowledge:

  • Referrer URL (the address of the site from which the visitor accessed the website in question)
  • IP address (e.g. 256.123.123.1)
  • Information about the operating system (the software that makes it possible to operate your computer – well-known operating systems include Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux)
  • Mouse and keyboard behavior (each of your actions using the mouse or keyboard is stored)
  • Date and language settings (which language/date is stored as the default setting on your PC)
  • All JavaScript objects (JavaScript is a programming language that enables websites to adapt to the user)
  • Screen resolution (indicates the number of pixels in the displayed image)

The incorporation of reCAPTCHA transfers data from you to the Google server. The IP address your browser sends to Google will generally not be merged with other Google data from other Google services. If you are logged into your Google account while using the reCAPTCHA plug-in, however, the data will be merged. In this case, a different Google privacy policy applies: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/

If you consent to data processing by Google, you are agreeing to Google LLC and its representatives automatically collecting, processing, and using your data.

Legal basis
The legal basis for the data processing described is point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR and your consent in accordance with point (a) of Art. 6 (1) GDPR. When you give this consent, an optional cookie will also be set simultaneously. The legal basis for this storage of information or access to information already on your device is Section 25 (1) TDDDG. We have a legitimate interest in this data processing to ensure the security of the website and protect it from automated entries (attacks). The different privacy policy of Google Inc. applies to this service. You will find more information about the data protection guidelines of Google Inc. at https://policies.google.com/privacy or https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/.

By using this website, you are agreeing to Google collecting, processing, and using the data collected about you in the way described above and for the aforementioned purpose.

Storage duration:
We will only process your data for as long as this is necessary for the purpose of data collection (in this case, preventing improper use of our website). You will find further information about how your data is used under: http://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/

Third country transfer:
Due to our use of IP anonymization on this website, however, Google will first remove the end of your IP address so it only locates you as within the member states of the EU or in other states that are party to the Agreement on the EEA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Most third countries (including the USA) are not considered secure under current European data protection law. Data to third countries that are not secure cannot therefore simply be transferred, stored there, and processed unless there are suitable safeguards (such as EU standard contractual clauses) between us and the non-European service provider.

Google also processes your personal data in the USA and does so on the basis of the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. You will find further information about this under: https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks?hl=en

How can I delete my data and/or prevent it from being stored?
If you do not want any data about you and your behavior to be transmitted to Google, you must log out of Google completely and delete all Google cookies before you visit our website or use the reCAPTCHA software. In principle, the data is automatically transmitted to Google as soon as you access our site. To delete this data again, you must contact Google Support at: https://support.google.com/?hl=en&tid=311281556

Embedded YouTube videos

Nature and purpose of processing:
We embed YouTube videos in some of our websites. The operator of the corresponding plug-ins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA (hereinafter “YouTube”). If you visit a site with the YouTube plug-in, a link is created to YouTube servers and YouTube is told which sites you visit. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behavior to you in person. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.

If a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about the user’s behavior.

You can find further information regarding the purpose and scope of the data collected and its processing by YouTube in the provider’s privacy policies. These policies also contain further information about the relevant rights and settings for protecting your privacy: https://policies.google.com/privacy, https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/171780?hl=en

Legal basis:
The legal basis for incorporating YouTube and the associated transfer of data to Google is your consent in accordance with point (a) of Art. 6 (1) GDPR, point (b) of Art. 6 (1) GDPR (including in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR), and point (f) of Art. 6 (1) GDPR on the basis of our aforementioned legitimate interest in providing the timely and supportive option of supplying information to and interacting with our users and visitors. When you give this consent, an optional cookie will also be set simultaneously. The legal basis for this storage of information or access to information already on your device is Section 25 (1) TDDDG.

Recipients:
Accessing YouTube automatically triggers a connection to Google.

Duration of storage and revocation of consent:
You can set the consent banner and your browser software to prevent cookies from being stored.

Deactivating the storage of cookies for the Google Ads program will also rule out the use of such cookies when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser.

You will find further information about data protection when using YouTube in the data privacy policy of the provider, Google, under: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Third country transfer:
Google also processes your personal data in the USA and does so on the basis of the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. You will find further information about this under: https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks?hl=en

If the use of cookies is absolutely essential, the storage of information or access to information already on your device will take place in accordance with Section 25 (2) TDDDG.

If you click on the link to an offering, personal data may reach providers in countries outside the European Economic Area that, from the perspective of the European Union (“EU”), do not guarantee an “adequate level of protection” for processing personal data in accordance with EU standards.
